New HHH Political News Site with Reporting by U of MN Students
The Center for the Study of Politics and Governance at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs has launched a new site on political news reporting by University of Minnesota students.
The first installment, a “watchdog” series on Minnesota politics, sees the debut of three new articles: one on Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner Steve Sviggum, one on the ‘inglorious’ job of campaign trackers, and one profiling 2009 Minneapolis mayoral candidate Papa John Kolstad.
The articles were written in a new course at the Humphrey Institute that trains students in political reporting. The course instructor is Sarah T. Williams, former news editor at the Star Tribune.
New articles will be posted at the site in the coming weeks.
