Mitt Romney seems poised to win the Wyoming Caucus in a state that will bring 14 total delegates to the Republican convention. Twelve of these delegates will be decided today, and Romney has won 5 of 7 so far, with Duncan Hunter winning 1 and Fred Thompson winning 1.

The state party lost half of its delegates when it violated national party rules by holding its caucuses before February 5th. The Republican Party of Wyoming opted to hold its caucuses anyway in an effort to bring some attention to the state this campaign season. And it has – though not a lot. Only the aforementioned candidates and Ron Paul have visited the states, and none during the past month.

Three alternate delegates have also committed to Romney, with 1 to John McCain, 1 to Thompson, 1 to Hunter, and 1 uncommitted.
