The Return of the 11th Commandment?
While there certainly have been memorable moments in the last two Republican presidential debates, those who have followed the eight GOP candidates in their nationally televised performances over the last few months may have noticed something was missing: there were only three candidate-on-candidate attacks launched in both the Michigan and South Carolina debates. That tally is a substantial reduction from the five previous debates since Rick Perry first entered the race: there were 17 verbal jabs launched in California, 28 and 18 in the two Florida debates, 25 in the second New Hampshire debate, and a whopping 64 in the Nevada ‘bloodbath.’
