A reminder to those readers of Smart Politics’ reports who subscribe through RSS via Google Reader: as per Google’s announcement in March, Google Reader will be retired on Monday, July 1st and you will need to transition to a new reader before then to retain your subscriptions.

Popular options for alternative readers include Feedly, Digg Reader, and AOL Reader.

Feedly is available now. AOL is in beta and Digg will be available soon. You can export your Google Reader subscription file now and upload when those readers are ready.

To retain all of your reader data and export your subscriptions to another RSS reader, you can use Google Takeout.

Good luck on making a seamless transition this weekend, and thanks for continuing to read Smart Politics!
